What was the challenge?
As one of the leading insurance brokers in the Flemish region of Belgium, Hillewaere Insurance manages the insurances for several large business fleets across the country.
One of the core challenges of managing fleet insurances, is to keep all stakeholders informed at the right time. This process often requires sending emails back and forth to make sure that everyone is up to date with the state of the fleet.

The way of working for managing these fleets varied from one Hillewaere office to another, with many relying on Excel spreadsheets. This approach was not only time-consuming but also prone to human errors.

How did we help?
To pinpoint the user needs of the portal, we sat down with the team for a Refinement Workshop.
Given the involvement of several stakeholders in fleet insurance, we created detailed Process Blueprints to outline all processes.
After we defined the scope for the first version of the portal, we created a detailed Roadmap to track progress.
The portal was built in Retool to create a strong base for the portal, with an eye towards future enhancements.
